Advance Construction is experienced in implementing and managing very aggressive Diversity Outreach & Compliance programs on behalf of Owners and Prime Contractors. This includes marketing and identifying local and regional Minority & Women Owned Business, Disadvantaged Busines Enterprises, Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Service Disabled & Veteran Owned businesses; local businesses and developing critieria for local resident hiring. We utilize the latest technology in identifying and tracking the utilization of diverse and local firms and provide monthly compliance reporting to the Owners, Prime Contractors and other stakeholders as necessary. We typically provide these professional services as an Owners representative for Diversity and Inclusion.
Advance Construction is a certified Minority Business Enterprise who believes that working and partnering with diverse firms is the true pathway to success and this includes Minority Business Enterprises, Women Owned Business Enterprises, Service Disabled & Veteran Owned Businesses, local businesses, and others. Advance Construction is a proud member of the US Minority Contractors Association, Indiana-Kentucky Chapter.
Advance Construction is owned by Vance Kenney who has more than 30 years of construction experience having participated and graduated from the US Small Business Administrations 8(a) Business Development program where he performed many projects for the US Army Corps of Engineers, the General Services Adminstration, the Veteran's Administration, the US Navy, the Federal Aviation Adminstration, Indiana National Guard, and many others. In addition he has completed projects locally such as the Showboat Casino, Majestic Star Casino, the Horseshoe Casino, The City of Gary Marquette Park Improvements, the Gary Baseball Stadium, the New Hammond High School project, and many others.
Vance also owns and operates Advance Energy LLC a union MBE, DBE and ACDBE certified supplier and transporter of fuels such as gasoline, diesel and lubricants. Vance remains a part owner of the property at 504 Broadway known as the Gary State Bank Building and he is the Co-founder of Metro Edge Development Partners, a MBE owned real estate development firm specializing in developing mission critical data center facilities in underserved communities and is currently developing a 24 megawatt data center facility in the Illinois Medical District in Chicago named IMD1.
